Reserve Group Areas for Special Events

From a deck, at the Bridge Canyon Overlook within Castlewood Canyon State Park, one looks out over a canyon with green foliage and a bridge in the distance.

Castlewood Canyon

Celebrate your special moments in stunning outdoor settings. Pike’s Peak Amphitheater offers sweeping mountain views in a rustic, open-air space. The Bridge Canyon Overlook features an uncovered deck with breathtaking canyon scenery, perfect for ceremonies. Castlewood Canyon also offers covered shelters ideal for picnics and wedding receptions. For business gatherings, a conference room is available for meetings and professional events.

Ridgway

The Overlook at the Ridgway State Park Visitor Center offers breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains and Ridgway Reservoir, making it a beautiful year-round setting for weddings. The Pa-Co-Chu-Puk Group Event Facilities sit along the scenic Uncompahgre River, with two shelters and easy access to the River Walk Trail, plus the option to rent the nearby Eddy Group Campground. For more intimate gatherings, four group picnic areas provide flexible and charming event spaces.

Stagecoach

The park features two group camping areas - Juniper and McKindley - perfect for hosting larger gatherings. The Arrowhead Group Picnic Area accommodates up to 60 guests and offers stunning views of the Flat Tops Wilderness to the southwest and the dramatic cliffs of Blacktail Mountain to the north. Just beyond, the three-mile-long Stagecoach Reservoir adds even more opportunities for outdoor adventure to enhance your celebration.

Trinidad Lake

The Sopris and Viola Picnic Shelters on Carpios Ridge are ideal for reunions, weddings, graduations, and celebrations, with easy access to trails, campsites, and lake views. The Piedmont Group Camping Area offers a private setting for groups who want to camp together. Located in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Trinidad Lake State Park features mountain scenery and outdoor recreation including canoeing, fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, and an archery range.
