Road Work -
Gilpin County will be doing road work on Crawford Gulch Road on June 15, 22 and 24 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. During these times, traffic will not be allowed to drive through Crawford Gulch Road and some trailheads, Horseshoe and Round the Bend, will be closed. Other trailheads are still accessible. Please plan accordingly.
Highway Paving -
Colorado Department of Transportation will be paving Highway 46 through the park from Aug.-Oct. Expect delays. More information to follow.
For Groups
Red Barn Group Picnic Area provides a rustic setting for large gatherings, with two historic barns renovated with electrical outlets and lights.
Hours: 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily, May through October.

Group Camping
Located at an elevation of 8,800 feet. Summer temperatures can vary from a high of 80 degrees during the day to nighttime lows in the 40s. The campground is located in a 50-year-old stand of lodgepole pine and is restricted to tents only.
Amenities:
Consisting of a camper cabin and group camping area. The two-room cabin includes a bedroom area with a queen size and twin size bunk bed, a living room (with a wood burning fireplace), baseboard heating, electricity, food preparation area, dining furniture, and a large deck. There is no running water in the cabin, water is provided through an outside spigot.
Amenities:
Pets are not permitted in the cabin, but are allowed on the tent sites. Firewood is available for purchase from the campground office.
Guests can use the shower and restroom facilities at the Reverend's Ridge campground if they wish - a 1.5 mile drive from the cabin. Bring all bedding, pillows, camp stoves, utensils, and cookware for your stay at the Works Ranch - this is a basic camper cabin with limited furnishings. There is no refrigeration at the cabin. Camping chairs for the deck are a good idea too.

No refunds will be issued for Red Barn due to inclement weather or fire bans.
Visitors can take in a wonderful view of a nearby open meadow and creek, enjoy the nearby fishing areas and hiking trails.
