The heart of Yampa River State Park is a 134-mile stretch of the Yampa River. Headquarters Campground, located on the Yampa River near Hayden, Colorado, offers 50 campsites, including RV electric hook-ups, tent camping and group camping areas.

Campground at Yampa River State Park Headquarters

The Headquarters campground has 35 electric RV sites, 14 basic tent-only sites, two tipi sites and five group sites​​.

Primitive Camping at Deerlodge Park and East Cross Mountain

Camping permits can be purchased on site from the kiosk. East Cross Mountain has five primitive campsites. Camping at Deerlodge Park is managed by the National Park Service. Deerlodge Park has seven primitive campsites.

Juniper Canyon has 12 primitive campsites. Maybell Bridge has five primitive campsites. Duffy Mountain has five primitive campsites.
