​Educating others, especially our youth, is a vital step to conserving our wildlife and our land for the future. ​Instilling appreciation of each of Colorado’s unique species causes a ripple effect that can make all the difference in our efforts to protect what makes Colorado so spectacular. 

Ecological issues and conservation problems are often very complex and require critical thinking skills that are essential to any education program. Environmental education helps children to understand the way humans relate to our resources and environment - an extremely important connection to draw. Recognizing this relationship allows us to take responsibility for our environmental impact and make a smart conservation effort. 

Ensuring that children feel a connection with and responsibility for the outdoors is essential. CPW offers various resources and grants to help parents and teachers get involved in the effort to carry on our conservation work to the next generations:
