COVID-19 Response

Colorado’s Response to COVID-19:

As of Friday, April 16, 2021, the Colorado COVID-19 Dial has moved into Public Health Order 20-38: Limited COVID-19 Restrictions, which allows counties to implement regulations at the local level while still maintaining some limited requirements across the state. Counties may use the statewide dial framework as a model for implementing their own regulations.

It remains your responsibility to Know Before You Go and understand county restrictions where you live and where you travel within the state by checking the Dial Status at covid19.colorado.gov.

The state is continuing two important statewide measures to continue protecting Coloradans no matter where they live which includes the statewide mask mandate and Public Health Order 20-38: Limited COVID-19 Restrictions, which addresses large gatherings and other indoor high-risk settings.

Visitors to state offices, including Colorado Parks and Wildlife visitor centers, area offices, ANS inspection stations, etc., must still wear face coverings and practice social distancing.

While vaccination programs are underway, it is imperative that Coloradans continue to follow simple, common-sense guidelines to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Wear face coverings, maintain social distancing of six feet wherever possible, stay home if you are feeling ill, frequently wash your hands and avoid large gatherings.

How is CPW responding to COVID-19?

  • There are no COVID-19 closures to Colorado Parks and Wildlife offices, visitor centers or campgrounds at this time. Occupancy limits may be in place based on county dial status.

  • No changes or impacts to hunting and/or fishing licenses, passes, reservations or registrations are in place at this time.

  • Please be prepared with hand sanitizer when outdoors and unable to wash your hands, and do your part by wearing face coverings, maintaining social distancing, and staying home if you are feeling unwell.
