Partners in the Outdoors Conference

Join the Partners in the Outdoors community as we explore the complicated relationship between conservation and recreation in our state. We’ll  ask ourselves, “How can we cultivate common ground to ensure a sustainable future for Colorado’s outdoors?”

Announcement: Partners in the Outdoors Has Gone Virtual!

We have an exciting line-up of engaging and interactive sessions, podcasts with keynote speakers, and a Virtual Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony.

Beginning the week of May 11th, we will host 2-3 virtual sessions every Thursday for 8 weeks. Sessions will mostly be Zoom webinars, and we are also partnering with Mountain & Prairie Podcast to release podcasts with CPW Director Dan Prenzlow, and keynote speakers, Rachel VandeVoort and Gabe Vasquez. Sessions will be free and open to all partners!

Sign up for the Partners Newsletter to receive each week's webinar information and monitor the schedule for updates!

Mark Your Calendars for the 2021 Partners Conference

In the meantime, please mark your calendars for April 19-21, 2021 when we will host next year's conference in Vail.

If you have any questions, please contact CPW’s Partnership Program at

Our conference provides opportunities for:

  • Networking and Collaboration
  • Partner Recognition
  • Professional Development
  • Grant Funding

In 2020, we will continue our efforts to advance Colorado's Outdoor Principles as we provide the outdoor conservation and recreation community in Colorado the opportunity to build common ground by forging new collaborations with diverse stakeholders and voices. We'll learn about key issues in the industry and generate innovative ideas and solutions supported by all parties. We'll also learn how to implement best practices for partnering so we can advance the priorities identified in Colorado's Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). The SCORP supports our State Wildlife Action Plan and CPW's Strategic Plan.
