Southeast TEN Workshops
Southeast TEN Workshops

The Southeast Teaching Environmental Science Naturally (TEN) program is award winning, having been recognized by the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education

Classes bring teachers and natural resource agencies together to create an interdisciplinary professional development experience for both classroom and informal educators. Different courses are offered in different years. All workshop activities are aligned with Colorado Academic Standards.

When considering one of our summer offerings, please keep in mind:

  • Most of the workshop time is in the outdoor 'classroom'. If you do not like being in the outdoors in the summer, then this class is not for you. It can be hot, muggy, buggy, cold, wet and raining—all in the same day! Be prepared for the Colorado outdoors!

  • You will be required to do some homework and keep a daily journal.
  • Children and pets are not allowed in the workshops.

Proceeds from the Colorado Lottery, through Great Outdoors Colorado,
help fund TEN
summer educator institutes.
