What’s available at Sylvan Lake
Open to the public year-round, Sylvan Lake offers camping, cabins and yurts. There are no individual site hook-ups. Cabins and yurts can accommodate up to six people and have solar lighting and heat. A large cabin accommodates up to 12. A group campsite is available from mid-May through September. There’s no cell service at this peaceful park, so it’s a true getaway.

Yurts
Escape to nature in Sylvan Lake’s yurts.
Yurts are round tents on a wooden frame with circular skylights and windows to provide illumination. The yurts at Sylvan Lake State Park are nestled in the trees 4.5 miles into the park on East Brush Creek Road. Stream fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing and more are available from the yurts. Each yurt accommodates six people with one twin-sized bunk bed and two futons.

Overlooking the lake, campsites at Elk Run and Fisherman’s Paradise campgrounds provide scenic views and easy access to fishing and boating. Three campsites are accessible.
Reserve a Campsite

A reservation is required to camp at Sylvan Lake State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made for campsites, yurts and cabins online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.

When you camp at Sylvan Lake State Park, check-in time is 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out time is 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of departure. A reservation is necessary, and camping is allowed only in designated areas. Parking on vegetation may result in a fine. Please do not tie anything, including hammocks, to the trees.
The maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period. A maximum of six people, two motorized vehicles and only one camping unit is allowed per individual site. A group campground can accommodate up to 60 campers and is available from mid-May through September.
Sylvan Lake State Park is pet friendly. All pets must be under control and on a maximum six-foot leash at all times, and not attached to any park signs, trees, shrubs or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended, and pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets. Leashed pets are allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas and on designated trails.
Campsites in Fisherman's Paradise campground may be reserved year round.

Cabins and yurts offer a comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors. Sylvan Lake has nine cabins, including three that are ADA accessible and two that are pet friendly. The large cabin is fully furnished. Sylvan Lake has three yurts, including one that is ADA accessible and one that is pet friendly.

Camper cabins can accommodate up to six people. Each cabin has one queen-sized bed and three twin-sized bunk beds. The beds have mattresses but no bedding. The cabins are all equipped with heat, solar lighting, a storage cabinet, and a table and chairs. The large cabin can accommodate up to 12 people and is fully furnished with a full kitchen, living/dining area, and bathroom with a shower.
Visitors will need to bring bedding, such as sleeping bags and/or sheets, blankets and pillows. There is no refrigerator, so guests should bring a cooler for food.
