Elevation: 5,800 to 8,000 ft.

Terrain: The ranch is located in the rolling sagebrush hills that drain to the Little Snake River. 

Access: Ranch roads provide adequate access to main parts of the ranch. These roads can become very muddy during wet weather. All motor vehicles must remain on established roads at all times. Access past certain clearly marked points of the Little Buck and Little Bear properties will be limited to foot and horseback travel only.

Overnight Accommodations: Motels are located in Craig along with Craig Campgrounds​​ on Highway 40.​

Antler-point restrictions for elk vary by ranch. Please refer to the brochure for more information​​. No over-the-counter licenses are offered on these properties. Ranching for Wildlife licenses are open to Colorado residents only. Licenses are only for the season and ranch on the license. Additional Information: Visintainer Ranch RFW is located in an area where elk are migratory. Since antlered elk do not always stay on the ranch and harvest levels off the ranch are high, the size of bulls available to hunters should not be considered "trophy" class.
