Overland Trail Museum - Opened in 1936, the Overland Trail Museum is now owned and operated by the City of Sterling. Visitors can look back in time at Native American cultures and pioneer lifestyles, walk through 19th-century barbershops, schoolhouses, and blacksmith's shops, and trace regional history from Cretaceous fossils to the construction of North Sterling Reservoir to the modern wind farms built north of the park!
Pawnee National Grasslands - Stretching from Logan County westward towards the Mountains, the Pawnee National Grasslands offers broad, sweeping prairie vistas and a scenic driving byway with good opportunities for wildlife watching and a moderate 1.5-mile hiking trail at Pawnee Buttes. The trail is closed March 1 to June 30 for hawk, eagle, and falcon nesting.
The Logan County Chamber of Commerce - LCCC supports and sponsors many regional events throughout the year, from the Heritage Festival (4th of July Weekend) to July Jamz to Sugar Beet Days (early September).
Northeastern Junior College - Located in the northeast corner of Sterling, NJC offers an array of course studies for college students of every age, as well as many continuing and adult education options. In the summer, NJC hosts a number of events on their main campus and at the newly donated Northeastern 18 (formerly the Sterling Country Club) a full-service eighteen-hole golf course just west of Sterling on Highway 14.

Logan County Fair & Rodeo - The annual Logan County Fair & Rodeo is held in early August, and includes a wide variety of activities including livestock competitions, carnival rides, a horse show, concerts, bull riding, barrel racing, the demolition derby, and more!
