  • Boat Ramps

    Lory does not have boat ramps. Use Horsetooth Reservoir​ for boat ramps. 

    Visit the Larimer County​ and CPW Specific​ Boat Inspections for more information, access and inspection hours.​

  • Camping

    Lory has six back country campsites. All six campsites are a minimum 1 hour hike from the nearest parking lot. All campsites are first come, first served. Remember that Lory DOES NOT ALLOW CAMP FIRES, however camp stoves are okay. All campsites are primitive and you must pack in and out all necessary items, including water.

  • Fire Restrictions

    There are currently no fire restrictions at Lory State Park at this time. However, rember that open fires are only permitted in designated grills and fire rings.

  • Hunting

    Lory is open to hunting Monday - Friday only during State of Colorado hunting seasons, except Spring Turkey Season, which is permitted on Monday and Tuesdays only. ​ All State of Colorado hunting and wildlife​ regulations apply. 

    All hunters are required to check-in prior to hunting and check-out\report any harvests prior to leaving. 

    See our hunting brochure​ or a ranger for updated hunting boundaries. Hunting licenses are available at the Lory State Park Visitor Center.

  • Seasonal Closures

    Rain or snow will cause periodic closing of the bike park and trails. Please check the Conditions page or call ahead to get updated conditions. 

    Any alterations to the bike park must be pre-approved by park management and completed by a registered volunteer. Any unauthorized alterations will be disassembled.
