Roxborough State Park offers a guided tour in a five-passenger electric golf cart around the Fountain Valley Trail. The tour features a gorgeous view of our Red Rock formations, grassy meadows, a wide variety of wildlife.
Rox Ride Tours are scheduled Fridays (excluding holidays), June through mid-October. More tours may become available All children must be accompanied by an adult and small children must be in a car seat (not provided). Visit the
Programs & Events Calendar to view upcoming availability and to sign up. Registration is required for all Rox Ride Tours.
All Rox Ride Tours and reservations are tentative, and are subject to cancellation by park staff for any reason including inclement weather.
Cost
The tour is free except for a park pass that is required on all vehicles entering the park. If the entrance station is not staffed, a $10.00 daily park pass may be purchased at the self-service station, located at the park entrance. Annual park passes may be purchased at the Visitor Center during staffed hours. Donations are welcome and used to maintain the vehicle.
Special Requests
If you are unavailable for any of the scheduled tours, you can request a specific date and time. At least a two week advance notice is required to secure a driver for all Rox Rides. Due to limited number of drivers, a special request is not guarunteed to be scheduled.
Special Events
Rox Rides for special events, such as weddings, are available for a fee. If you are interested in doing a special event at Roxborough please visit our

What You Need to Bring
If you have specific items that you rely on for your personal comfort, it is recommended that you bring them. The park elevation is 6,100’, and is subject to a rapidly changing weather environment. Thermoregulation is your responsibility, so make a point to check the local weather forecast, and bring adequate clothing to maintain an appropriate level of comfort. The park staff will provide basic first aid items.
