The marina boat ramp is open. All other boat ramps are closed until further notice. All boat inspections will be at the ANS Booth by the marina.

The Dam maintenance project is coming to a close! You are now able to access the Sage Flats area, but the road down to the Dam is closed to all public access. You can only access the Dam by boat.
Aspen are usually beautiful in this area. The colors start in mid-September and peak late September to early October.
The creeks are open and flowing. The ice is off.
The Visitor Center and Camper Services Building are now open. Public access on the road to the dam, from Sage Flats, is closed. Please check out the forest service website for details on National Forest closures in the area.
Summer is nearly in full bloom. The Mule's Ear is blooming across the park and the wildflowers are attracting our local pollinators. Keep an eye out for those little creatures as you hike the trails!
The swim beach is now open.
Please note that Colorado Parks and Wildlife swim beaches do not have lifeguards on duty. Swim at your own risk. Children must be supervised by adults at all times.
There have been a number of wildlife sightings including eagles, deer, and the occasional moose. Download the iNaturalist app or Seek to report your wildlife sightings to the park! Make sure you always keep a safe distance from all wildlife.
