One of the best ways to enjoy Boyd Lake State Park is on foot. Walking and biking are enjoyed along the paved and grassy trails beside the beaches, under cool cottonwood trees and next to the water's edge. Boyd's trails join with the city of Loveland's recreation trail system at the south and north ends of the park. Cross-country skiers can use the trails during the winter.
