Ice is never considered safe so know you are going out at your own risk.
The ice thickness is approximately 7 inches near the dam/outlet. At the boat ramp, the ice thickness is 4 inches. At the inlet, the ice thickness ranges from 3 to 5-1/2 inches.
NOTE: No snowmobiles or Off Highway Vehicles are allowed on Jackson Lake State Park.
Please remember to inform a friend or a family member of your return time. Always wear a flotation device, and carry ice awls or picks and a length of rope with for safety measures. Please also remember to keep your pet on a leash to prevent a pet ice rescue.
