  • Amphitheater

  • Cabins and Yurts

    ​
    Nestled among meadows and conifer forests, lie the three beautiful rustic-style log cabins of Mueller State Park. A fantastic​ view of Pikes Peak, tall pine trees and a variety of wildlife add to the charm of these mountain retreats.

    ​Reservations must be made for a minimum of 2 nights.​

    The cabins can be rented by calling reservations at: 1-800-244-5613​, or online. Book your cabin now! ​​​​​

    Restrictions: Smoking, marijuana use and pets are prohibited in the cabins and cabin area (includes parking areas, yards, etc.) Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced.

  • Camper Services Building

    ​The Camper Services Building is OPEN for the 2023 season.  Restrooms, showers, laundry room and vending machines are currently OPEN.

  • Campgrounds

    Mueller offers year-round camping opportunities including basic, primitive, electric, accessible, RV camping, as well as cabins.

    Reservations can be made online or made over the phone through Aspira by calling at 1-800-244-5613. ​​​​

    Handicapped Designated Sites

    • S​ites 12 and 22 are handicapped designated​ sites and can be reserved by calling 1-800-244-5613​ or online​.
    • You must have a handicapped placard or license plate.  ​

    ​Equestrian​ Camp Sites

    • Campsites 133 and 134 are available for those people who wish to camp with their horses. 
    • Each site also has a 12' x 12' tent pad and a 35' RV pad.  ​
    • Corrals are 12' x 24' plus indoor barns stalls are available.

  • Dump Station

    The dump station water and towers for rinsing tanks have been turned on for the 2023 season.  The dump station is available for dry dumping year round to registered campers.


    Please note:  The dump station is fully open from mid May through mid October.  Opening and closing dates are determined by weather. The dump station is available for registered campers only.

  • Group Campground

     Mueller offers three wonderful group campground opportunities - Pisgah Point East (4 sites) and Pisgah Point West (7 sites) or Pisgah Point East & West combined (11 sites) - all are nestled in the aspen and conifer forest, conveniently located near the Camper Service Building.

    Reservations: Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-244-5613 or online. Please make reservations 180 days in advance prior to your date of arrival. 

    Dates:  Mid May - Mid October

    Pisgah Point Group Loop East ​ ​ ​
    Cost: $144 per night (4 sites 70-73) ​ ​ ​

    Maximum Occupancy:   4 camping units and 24 people

    One camping unit with up to 6 people is allowed per campsite.  A camping unit is defined as the maximum combination of camping equipment allowed in one campsite.  The allowable combinations are:  One passenger vehicle and two tents; or one motor home or pickup camper (or a motorized vehicle towing a camping trailer) and one tent (if space permits).  One additional passenger vehicle may be parked at a campsite.  ​

    One camping unit with up to 6 people is allowed per campsite.  A camping unit is defined as the maximum combination of camping equipment allowed in one campsite.  The allowable combinations are:  One passenger vehicle and two tents; or one motor home or pickup camper (or a motorized vehicle towing a camping trailer) and one tent (if space permits).  One additional passenger vehicle may be parked at a campsite.  


    Camping fees do not include the day pass entrance fee which is required for each motor vehicle.  Vehicle day pass fees will be collected when entering the park.

  • Horse Trailer Parking

    ​Mueller is a horsemen's delight!

    We offer 34 miles of horse-friendly trails, space to park 10-15 horse trailers and 2 equestrian campsites.

  • Picnic Sites

    Mueller has 4 first-come, first-served picnic areas in a beautiful forested setting, located at Bootlegger, Outlook, Lost Pond and Preacher's Hollow Trailheads. 

    Each area has tables spread out among the trees with an upright barbecue grill at each table. 

    Bootlegger Picnic Area has a picnic site that is accessible with a wheel chair.

  • Trails

    Mueller offers over 50 miles of trails that offer many opportunities to explore the beautiful foothills of the Rockies.

    Mueller State Park's trails are accessible via foot, horseback or mountain bike. 

    ​Please call the Visitor Center before heading to the park to double check weather conditions when planning your visit.

    Always take a Mueller ​Sta​te Park trail map with you.

    Sept. 14-17, 2023:  Trails 33, 34 and a small section of 17 are open but there will be trail crews using machinery to install culverts.  Please avoid the area.  

    Starting on Sept. 4-21, 2023, the trail crew will be working on Geer Pond Trail #25. This section will remain closed to all trail traffic starting at the Tenderfoot BCC and going to the intersection of Beaver Ponds Trail #26. Trail #25 will remain open, but it will be busy with equipment traffic, so please be advised to explore elsewhere in the park. 

    Also, trail crews will be in the park working on the hills of Lost Pond and Geer Pond trails starting on Sept 11th. This is expected to be a 3 week project. The trail will remain open for use. ​



    PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON ANY TRAILS, IN THE BACKCOUNTRY, IN THE PONDS OR IN PARK BUILDINGS INCLUDING RENTAL CABINS AND VISITOR CENTER.​​​​​​​

  • Visitor Center

     

    ​Visitor Center is open daily 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.  

    Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

    The Visitor Center is located 1.5 miles from the park entrance. 

    The Visitor Center offers nature & history exhibits and awesome opportunities for photos and one-of-a-kind views.  

    ​A small retail store located in the Visitor Center offers the opportunity to purchase maps, books, clothing items, gifts and more.

  • Wedding Facilities

    Mueller State Park offers fabulous scenery in a private setting for small outdoor weddings located at our Amphitheatre.
