Ridgway State Park offers excellent opportunities to observe wildlife. In general, wildlife viewing, except for birds, is best at dawn or dusk and during the off-season. Take any of Ridgway's trails and a pair of binoculars and see what you can see!

Park staff, visitors and area naturalists are encouraged to note their wildlife sightings in and around the park on a list displayed at the entrance to the Visitor Center.

Take any one of the nature trails, such as the Forest Discovery Nature Trail, and learn more about the wildlife, plant communities or geology of the park.
