Eldorado Canyon State Park offers a Junior Rangers program for children (ages 6 to 12) Saturdays at 9:30 am June through August. Children learn to become more comfortable outdoors, appreciate Eldorado's natural resources, befriend Park Rangers, meet other children and learn to care for the Canyon.
Programs feature interactive outdoor games, learning activities, fun crafts and a treasure hunt. Children who attend four programs earn their official Junior Ranger badge and certificate and their photos are displayed in the Visitor Center. Eldorado Canyon's Junior Ranger program was recognized by the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education with the Government Award at one of their Environmental Education Awards Banquet.
