North Michigan Rustic Cabins
Six rustic cabins at State Forest are available for rent year-round. Set along the shore of North Michigan Reservoir, camper cabins
complete a summer or winter vacation. The cabins range from smaller cabins that
sleep a maximum of six, to the Old Camp Pennock Lodge and Columbine Lodge, which
sleep up to 21 and 15, respectively. Cabins have solar powered lights but no other electricity, no running
water, blankets or bedding.
Cabins 1 and 2: maximum occupancy 21 and 15, $120.00 per night.
Cabins 3-6: maximum occupancy 6 per cabin, $90.00 per night.
Each Cabin offers:
- Steel picnic tables, benches and bunk beds with mattresses
- Outdoor fire grills and fire pits, and picnic tables
- Decks overlooking the lake (except for Cabin 3)
- Propane heating stoves in all cabins, with propane provided
- Vault toilets nearby
- Cold, potable water spigots, only in summer

North Park Rustic Cabins (temporarily closed)
Notice of Closure: The North Park Campground and cabins will be closed until further notice.
We offer seven rustic cabins at the North Park Campground that sleep up to four, available for rent year-round. Easy to reach and with amenities close by, they strike a good compromise between camping and comfort. Cabins have electricity, but NO running water, blankets or bedding.
Maximum occupancy 4 per cabin, $90.00 per night.
Each Cabin offers:
- Steel picnic tables, benches and bunk beds with mattresses
- Outdoor fire grills and fire pits, and picnic tables
- Electric heating stoves in all cabins
- Lights and power outlets
- Flush toilets with sinks and hot showers in the bathroom nearby
North Park Deluxe Cabins (closed temporarily)
There also are two deluxe cabins at the North Park Campground that sleep up to four. Easy to reach and with inside bathrooms, they are designed to provide a restful getaway. Cabins have electricity and running water, but no blankets or bedding. These cabins are open for the summer only.
Maximum occupancy 4 per cabin, $120.00 per night.

- Flush toilet inside with sink and hot shower

Additional Details and Reservations
Dogs are allowed for an additional $10 per night.
Reservations are recommended, walk-ins are accepted. All reservations can be made through Aspira by calling 1-800-244-5613 or by visiting cpwshop.com.
The maximum stay in any of the cabins is two weeks out of every 45 days. All vehicles entering the park must have a valid parks pass in addition to the cabin fee.
Cabin check-in time is after 4:00 PM of the arrival date so that our maintenance crew can clean the cabins. Check-out time is 12:00 PM.
