We have five campgrounds plus dispersed sites offering over 200 campsites.
State Forest will be taking over North Park campground in May, 2018, and reservations can be made for Memorial Day weekend at that time. There are 22 full hook-up sites, 4 water and electric sites, 7 rustic cabins, 2 deluxe cabins, and 7 tent sites.
There are 48 sites at North Michigan Campground, 52 sites at Bockman Campground and 32 electric sites at Ranger Lakes that are reservable. The 40 dispersed/primitive sites throughout the park as well as 26 sites at Crags Campground are available on a first come basis.
Basic sites include Bockman, Crags, and North Michigan Reservoir for $18 a night. Electric sites are only offered at Ranger Lakes campground for $24 a night. All basic and electric campsites have a fire ring, picnic table, and access to vault toilets. Dispersed/primitive campsites are $10 a night and only feature a fire ring.
Crags campground offers 26 sites for tents only, due to limited space. Majority of the campground is ran on a first come, first serve basis, However this year we added 11 sites to the reservation system for those of you who like to plan a head!
Reservations can be booked through September 30th for Ranger Lakes, Bockman and North Michigan Campgrounds. Crags Campground and our dispersed sites are available on a first come basis. Beyond September 30th campgrounds will remain open as weather allows.
Reservations for can be made 6 months in advance (Ranger Lakes and N. Michigan Reservior reservations start May 27,2017; Bockman opens Mid-June, and Crags is always first come first serve when open).
