The Davis ponds have iced over. Currently there is only 1-2 inches.
Elk Falls pond has roughly 4 inches.
When ice fishing, it is always a good idea to drill test holes or use an ice chisel as you venture onto a lake to help judge the thickness and character of the ice. These “Test” holes should be at no more than 30 foot intervals.
Ice is never safe. Please fish with a buddy and come prepared with self rescue equipment.
Tires and rescue rope is availabe on each dam.
Fishing is allowed at the Davis Ponds, Elk Falls Pond and the small streams in the park. A current Colorado fishing license is required.
The Davis ponds are stocked with Rainbow Trout each month May through September. Limits for trout are 4 in your bag and 8 in your posession.
Elk falls Pond is not regularly stocked but does have Brook Trout. Limits are 10 in your bag and 10 in posession *8 inches or less.
We recommend powerbait, salmon eggs or worms!
Please, no boats or water craft of any kind and no swimming in the ponds.
