Staunton State Park Volunteers will be happy to assist Colorado educators in providing an individualized and unique outdoor educational experience for their class. Activities were developed using ideas and principles from Hands On! (Vermont Institute of Natural Science, 2000) and Project Wild (Council for Environmental Education, 2012).
Programs are referenced to grade levels and State Standards for Life Science. Additional programs for standards in Physical Science and History are also being developed. Programs can be adapted for each grade level and tailored to meet the needs of the teacher's own lesson plans. We understand that standards become modified for various reasons but we hope we can meet core ideals for each.
