Boating is among the park's most popular seasonal activities. You can enjoy water skiing, sailing, different types of paddling activities, fishing, or just cruising on the reservoir. Motorized & sail vessels are only allowed on the primary reservoir and prohibited on any other pond or body of water within the park.
To boat on the reservoir, a pre-launch boat inspection for Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) is MANDATORY for all motorized vessels and trailered vessels.
A current boat registration and the new ANS stamp are also required on all vessels prior to launch. Visit the Boating page for additional information regarding the new ANS stamp requirement.
New Colorado boat registrations can be obtained at the Littleton Regional Office on the southwest corner of C470 and Santa Fe, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m, Monday-Friday. Renewal registrations can be obtained at the park headquarters during office hours.
Chatfield Marina offers a courtesy dock, temporary moorage, and a rental fleet of power and paddling equipment. Contact (303)791-5555 or Chatfield Marina for rates, hours and other information.
With the fluctuation of stream flows, boaters should always watch carefully for floating debris in the reservoir.
