Chatfield Camping Fee Increases for 2019

With the passage of Senate Bill 18-143, CPW is able to adjust pricing to meet the pressures of increased management costs and resource usage across the state. These adjustments allow the agency to continue our conservation mission, while also ensuring transparency and accountability in working to achieve the ten key goals laid out in the bill.

  • The new fees will start January 1st, 2019.
  • There will no longer be a reservation fee for reservations made in advance. A parks pass is required in addition to camping fees.

All fees are in-addition to park pass/ entrance fees and priced per-day unless otherwise noted. All Parks Passes are non-refundable. Please note this is not an Army Corps of Engineers park. You will need a Colorado State Park Pass (see fees below) to enter and if camping you will pay State Park camping fees (see Camping page for more information).

Parks Passes

  • Daily Pass: $9.00
  • Annual Pass: $80.00 (affixed) or $120.00 (hang tag)
  • All Multiple Annual Passes: $40.00
  • Aspen Leaf Annual Pass (Colorado Resident 64+) : $70.00
  • All Multiple Aspen Leaf Annual Passes: $35.00

During gate attendant hours you may use; Visa, MC, or Discover, as well as cash or check. Outside of attendant hours you may use self-service with exact cash or check for a day pass, or one of our new Iron Rangers for the purchase of a Day Pass or Annual Pass with a Visa, MC, or Discover. For information on purchasing multiple vehicle passes, large quantity discounts, and specialty passes such as disability, military, etc., see the Parks Pass Information page.

Dog Off-Leash Area Pass

  • Daily Pass: $3.00
  • Annual Pass: $25.00

Camping

Only electric sites are available during winter months.

Additionally a Parks Pass is required for each day of camping

  • Full hookup campsite: $41.00
  • Electrical hookup only campsite: $36.00
  • Dump Station Fee: $28 .00

Camping reservations for individual sites and group loops cannot be made by calling Chatfield State Park.

  • Reservations can be made online or made over the phone through Aspira by calling at 1-800-244-5613.

Note: A Parks Pass is required for every vehicle entering the park, for every day. Sorry, there are no exceptions.

  • Group Camping Sites: $200.00

Camping reservations for individual sites and group loops cannot be made by calling Chatfield State Park.

  • Reservations can be made online or made over the phone through Aspira by calling at 1-800-244-5613. 

Facilities

Showers

All showers at Chatfield require payment: $0.50 for the first three minutes, $0.25 for each additional minute.

Group Events/Picnic Areas

Note: Additional reservation fee of $10.00. All vehicles entering the park must have a valid Parks Pass. Sorry, there are no exceptions.

  • Marina Point and Riverside Picnic Area: $150.00
  • Heronry Overlook: $100.00
  • Fox Run: $100.00

Other Activities

Horseback Riding

Horses may be leased at the Chatfield Stables, west of the swim beach. Call 303-933-3636 for information.
