​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​All fees are in-addition to park pass entrance fees and priced per-day unless otherwise noted. 

  • All Parks Passes are non-refundable. 
  • Please note this is not an Army Corps of Engineers park. 
  • You will need a Colorado State Park Pass (see fees below) to enter. 
  • If camping you will pay State Park camping fees (see the Camping page for more information).

Parks Passes

  • Daily Vehicle Pass: $10
  • Annual Pass: $80 (affixed) or $120 (hang tag)
  • All Multiple Annual Passes: $40
  • Aspen Leaf Annual Pass (Colorado Resident 64+): $70
  • All Multiple Aspen Leaf Annual Passes: $35

During gate attendant hours you may use; Visa, MC, or Discover, as well as cash or check. Outside of attendant hours you may use self-service with exact cash or check for a day pass, or one of our new Iron Rangers for the purchase of a Day Pass or Annual Pass with a Visa, MC, or Discover.

Dog Off-Leash Area Pass

  • Daily Pass: $3.00
  • Annual Pass: $25.00

Camping

Only electric sites are available during winter months.

Additionally a Parks Pass is required for each day of camping

  • ​Full hookup campsite: $41.00
  • Electrical hookup only campsite: $36.00
  • Dump Station Fee: $28 .00

Camping reservations for individual sites and group loops cannot be made by calling Chatfield State Park.

  • Reservations can be made online or made over the phone through Aspira by calling at 1-800-244-5613.

Note: A Parks Pass is required for every vehicle entering the park, for every day. Sorry, there are no exceptions.

  • Group Camping Sites: $200.00

Camping reservations for individual sites and group loops cannot be made by calling Chatfield State Park.

Facilities

Showers

All showers at Chatfield State Park are coin operated. The swim beach showers are open seasonally Memorial Day through Labor Day. Campground Facility Showers are for use of campers with valid camping reservations only.

Group Events/Picnic Areas

Note: Additional reservation fee of $10.00. All vehicles entering the park must have a valid Parks Pass.

  • Marina Point and Riverside Picnic Area: $150.00
  • Heronry Overlook: $100.00
  • Fox Run: $100.00

Other Activities

Horseback Riding

Horses may be leased at the Chatfield Stables, west of the swim beach. Call 303-933-3636 for information.

Hot-air Ballooning, Photography Permits, and More

If you are interested in a balloon rides, photography permits, organizing a race, having a wedding at Chatfield, or holding some other kind of event, please visit our Special Activity Agreement (SAA) Permit page.

The Parks and Wildlife Commission has the authority to raise daily individual/walk-in or vehicle entry fees by up to $1 per year, and annual passes up to $10 per year.
